About the Author
Though he now resides in New York, Ace Starry grew up in the western United States. Born the son of a construction worker in a small agricultural town in Idaho, he spent much of his childhood moving between Idaho, Utah, California, and Texas. His formal education includes the unlikely combination of an Associate's degree in Education, a Bachelor's degree in Theater, and a Master of Business Administration in marketing. Having attended seven different grammar schools, two high schools, a jr. high, a jr. college, and two universities, Mr. Starry has many insights into education. However, he believes that "Life itself is the greatest educator."
Pursuing a childhood dream, Ace became a professional magician at the age of thirteen (over twenty-five years ago). He is one of only five people in the world to have done a daring escape from a strait jacket while hanging suspended upside down from a burning rope. You can read all about this at this web site: The Great Escape. More than just a professional magician, Ace has worn many hats: a burger flipper, a ditch digger, a carpenter, a plumber, singer/songwriter, a stand-up comedian, a salesman, a real estate executive, a computer consultant, and even a CEO for a software company. Ace even once spent time as a security guard for "The Greatest of All Time," Muhammed Ali. This diverse experience combined with his special knowledge of magic, has given rise to his philosophy about life, which he calls "The Philosophy Of The Magic Life."
Ace now lives the magic life in New York with his wife Kristin and their cat, Katie.
